Job summary

Shure is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, implement, test, and integrate real-time Linux-based software for audio products. The role emphasizes architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on development in a hybrid setting out of Niles, IL.

The candidate will work with C/C++ on embedded platforms, leverage Yocto, and contribute to hardware/software integration and networking aspects of products.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; MS a plus.
• 5+ years of embedded software experience.
• Embedded Linux with Yocto experience.
• C/C++ with object-oriented design.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP/TCP/UDP networking; security a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test embedded software and components for audio products.
• Focus on Linux platforms; Yocto tools.
• Collaborate on product architecture with cross-functional teams.
• Estimate, organize, and document tasks.
• Model designs with UML; develop real-time use cases.
• Review code and perform unit/integration testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
