Job summary
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the DPU Platform team to influence embedded Linux platforms and software distribution across world-class data center products. This role offers the chance to impact multiple product lines and collaborate with a global development team on challenging, high-performance systems.
You will develop processor firmware, kernel drivers, and user-space components, work with hardware teams on SOC designs, and optimize performance in pre-silicon environments
Qualifications
- 6+ years of demonstrable experience in Linux and complex embedded systems development.
- Experience with Linux bootloader and boot firmware (ATF/UEFI a plus).
- Strong background in developing or maintaining Linux distributions, including user space libraries and applications, software update mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Develop system software components including processor firmware, kernel drivers/modules, and user space applications and libraries.
- Collaborate with hardware and product design teams to develop software for sophisticated SOC platform designs.
- Assist world-wide teams with DPU project bring-up and validation.
- Tackle complex system-level optimization and resource utilization challenges.
- Work in pre-silicon development mode to architect, debug, measure, and optimize performance using simulators and hardware emulators.
- Participate across all levels of the product development life-cycle with high standards for requirements, software quality, and performance.
