Providence Partners, LLC seeks an experienced Senior Electric Design Engineer in Austin, TX to lead embedded hardware development and PCB design from concept through production.

The role requires hands-on ownership of analog/digital circuit design, prototyping, debugging, and documentation, with close collaboration across firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams. Competitive benefits accompany a stable engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years hands-on electrical hardware design experience.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout is REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with embedded processors and analog front-end circuitry.
• Experience with EMI/EMC design principles, safety and reliability requirements.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting electronic hardware.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design analog and digital circuits for embedded electronic systems, including microprocessor-based designs and analog front-end circuitry.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Perform hands-on hardware development, prototyping, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Design electrical hardware to meet EMI/EMC, safety, and reliability requirements.
• Develop and execute verification and validation test procedures for hardware and embedded software.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation, including schematics, PCB design files, BOMs, and production release packages.
• Support design transfer to manufacturing and resolve production-related engineering issues.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing teams throughout product development.
• Maintain engineering documentation and product information within ERP systems.
