Job summary

SolarBridge Technologies is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer in Austin, TX. You will architect and develop embedded hardware for the SolarBridge Power Manager Gateway, lead design reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across electrical, firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing disciplines.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in embedded systems design with leadership experience, and will involve working with ODMs in Asia.

Qualifications

B.S. or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of directly related embedded systems design experience with leadership.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing.
Familiarity with Power Line Communications, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee and antennas is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to present technical material to varied audiences.
Experience supervising others and working with Asia-based ODMs.

Responsibilities

Architect, design and develop embedded hardware-based systems for SolarBridge Power Manager Gateway.
Lead and review design work, guiding engineers and manufacturing partners.
Collaborate with electrical, firmware, software, mechanical teams and program managers.
Contribute to product roadmaps, specifications, feasibility studies and schedules.
Assist in BOM cost management and budgeting during development.
Support NPI activities and transition to manufacturing.
