Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) seeks a seasoned engineer to join a tight-knit design team, focusing on rugged, high-performance embedded computing. You will influence board-level design from concept through production transfer, interacting with electrical, mechanical, software, and production teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and delivering robust hardware solutions with tight collaboration and fast cycles in Madison-area facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience delivering project goals across concurrent projects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, PCB, and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in product development, integration, debug, and testing.
• Perform digital circuit design, component selection, simulation, and schematic entry.
• Serve as technical contact with external customers with the PM.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and ensure high quality.
• Guide design verification, qualification, and production test plans.
• Create and review product technical documentation.
• Debug hardware problems to the component level.
• Mentor early career engineers and review peers' work.
• Manage customer and internal requirements throughout the design process.
• Coordinate with PMs and leads to timely design checks.
