Job summary

Opus IVS seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to develop state-of-the-art vehicle diagnostic equipment and communication devices. You will collaborate with multiple technology teams to deliver world-class hardware, firmware, and software that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include building PC boards and firmware, testing, and interfacing with customers to refine performance. Proficiency in C/C++/C#, PCB soldering, and vehicle protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Hardware Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years experience in hardware design or development.
• Experience with ARM family processors and EMC/EMI considerations.
• Strong knowledge of MPUs, UART, CAN, LIN, A/D, D/A, RAM/Flash and other digital electronics.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and C#, with debugging hardware circuits and soldering skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded automotive diagnostic pass-thru products (PC boards and firmware).
• Build diagnostic systems including PC hardware, vehicle communication hardware, and battery management hardware.
• Create new devices/features and improve hardware, firmware, and software quality.
• Write unit tests, perform automation, and conduct code reviews to improve quality.
• Design and run product and protocol validation tests and develop test systems.
• Interface with customers to gather performance information on products.
