Job summary

Opus IVS is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to help develop state-of-the-art vehicle diagnostic equipment and communication devices. You will work directly with Opus IVS’s various technology departments to deliver world-class hardware and firmware solutions that meet customer needs.

The role requires 7+ years in hardware design, ARM processor experience, and EMC/EMI knowledge, plus C/C++/C# skills. You will design PC boards, test systems, and protocols while collaborating with customers and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hardware engineering or related field; or equivalent experience plus education/training.
• 7+ years experience in hardware design or development.
• Experience with ARM processors and EMC/EMI knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, and C#.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded automotive diagnostic hardware (PC boards and firmware).
• Build diagnostic systems including hardware, vehicle comms, and battery management.
• Design products, features, and improve hardware/firmware quality.
• Write unit tests, automate, and perform code reviews to improve quality.
• Create test systems and validation suites for new products.
• Interface with customers to collect performance feedback.
