Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Embedded Graphics Engineer to design and develop high-performance graphics for embedded systems using OpenGL and Vulkan. You will influence graphics software across hardware platforms and contribute to new product development.

You'll work in a hybrid schedule out of Phoenix, tackling system-level requirements, verification, and integration with avionics standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• At least 6 years of Embedded C & C++ experience.
• Experience in 2D/3D OpenGL or Vulkan and embedded graphics.
• Experience in system and software requirements development.
• Strong knowledge of avionics architectures and certification (DO-178B/C).
• Experience with graphics pipelines, display devices (SOC/CPU/GPU/FPGA).
• Experience in image processing (gamma correction).
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Understand avionics design, product development and system integration and certification.
• Develop system and software requirements from specifications.
• Develop and execute system test cases on integration benches.
• Identify and debug issues at system level and interaction with other aircraft systems.
• Troubleshoot issues from applications or flight testing.
• Coordinate with diverse teams on subsystems and integration.
• Support DO-178B/C, ARP4754 and V&V activities.
• Contribute to design for test (DFT) and verification.
