Job summary

Allocor.Tech seeks an experienced embedded firmware engineer to implement and harden FOC for PMSM/BLDC motors. You will write real-time C/C++ on Cortex-M devices, handle sensorless paths, and extend the allocore SDK for outer loops.

You will bring up new hardware in collaboration with the hardware and EE teams, building robust test stories for flight and salt-water environments. Expect to own complex control loops, intermittently work with CAN/RS-485, and contribute to production-ready software

Qualifications

• 5+ years embedded motor-control firmware experience.
• FOC on PMSM/BLDC required; not just a résumé bullet.
• Production C/C++ on bare metal or a thin RTOS.
• CAN (2.0/FD) and RS-485 experience.
• Sensorless observers and advanced motor-control topics are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and harden FOC: Clarke/Park, current and speed loops, field weakening, overmodulation, dead-time.
• Write real-time C/C++ on Cortex-M and similar: PWM, ADC, DMA, isolated comms.
• Own sensored and sensorless paths, calibration, and protection for flight and salt water.
• Extend the allocore SDK for drop-in outer loops without touching inner loop.
• Bring up new hardware with EE and build test stories: HIL, dyno, regression, production load.
