Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineering Program Manager to lead firmware development for new devices. You will partner closely with Firmware, Hardware, Connectivity, Manufacturing, and WHOOPLabs teams to ensure timely delivery of firmware features to unlock novel hardware.

You will be a vital part of the Hardware EPM team, reporting into the Director of Hardware Program Management, and will drive cross-functional planning and execution through all

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in Technical Program Management or related roles for embedded systems.
• Experience leading embedded projects from concept through production release.
• Experience coordinating with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and global partners.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems development and firmware release processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware program planning and execution across the NPI portfolio from concept to launch.
• Develop and maintain integrated firmware schedules, roadmaps, and dependencies.
• Drive prioritization, capacity planning, risk management, and readiness.
• Lead milestone planning: architecture, development, validation, manufacturing readiness, acceptance testing, and launch.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Connectivity, Sensor Intelligence, Test Engineering, Manufacturing and Labs.
• Facilitate cross-functional reviews and executive progress updates.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, technical, and resource risks early.
• Support Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT, manufacturing bring-up, and launch readiness.
• Establish scalable planning processes, tools, and reporting for embedded programs.
• Improve development workflows, release planning, and execution efficiency.
