Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Embedded Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Houston. You will design, develop, and support embedded systems powering our industrial products from concept through production, collaborating with a talented engineering group.

The ideal candidate has a BS in EE, 5+ years in embedded systems, strong C/C programming, and hands-on experience with HW/SW integration, testing, and debugging, plus familiarity with RS-485, CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
• 5+ years of embedded systems background (required).
• Proven experience in full-cycle product development.
• Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration, system-level testing, performance tuning, and embedded debugging tools.
• Strong programming proficiency in C or C-based languages.
• Working knowledge of IDE toolchains including compiler, linker, assembler, and loader.
• Experience with serial communication protocols such as RS-485, CAN bus, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Ability to read and interpret microprocessor/component datasheets and manufacturer application notes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support embedded systems from concept to production.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on integration and validation.
• Perform system-level testing, performance tuning, and debugging across the stack.
• Utilize embedded debugging tools to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Review datasheets and manufacturer application notes to implement reliable designs.
