Job summary

Wavelynx Technologies, LLC. is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to advance our embedded products and new access control platforms.

You will join cross-disciplinary teams to build robust firmware for readers and controllers, focusing on NFC/RFID, secure element integration, cryptographic protocols, and networked systems. You will optimize high-frequency RFID/NFC processing, implement secure device communications, and lead firmware testing and CI/CD for hardware-in-the-loop, ensuring reliability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar) and ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain bare-metal and RTOS-based firmware for readers and controllers.
• Optimize RFID/NFC processing and ISO protocols.
• Integrate and secure mobile credentials (Apple/Google Wallet) using Secure Elements.
• Implement secure communications between readers, controllers, and cloud (OSDP, TLS/TCP/IP, BLE).
• Develop OTA/FOTA firmware update mechanisms with tamper resistance and zero downtime.
• Troubleshoot networking across serial buses, IP networks, and RF interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware during bring-up, SI testing, and power management optimization.
• Drive automated firmware testing and CI/CD for HIL environments.
• Lead root-cause analysis for RF performance or protocol issues.
