Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop embedded systems software and Linux-based drivers for ARM devices. You will contribute to Python and Golang services, work with cross-functional teams, and help ensure product quality through extensive testing.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in C/C++, RTOS experience (Zephyr/FreeRTOS), and a strong ability to analyze and debug existing code, while collaborating across hardware and software disciplines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience programming in C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS including Zephyr and FreeRTOS.
• Familiarity with CICD workflows and basic implementation principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for embedded systems and Linux-based hardware interfaces.
• Take ownership of code, verification testing and documentation.
• Develop Python and Golang services on Debian ARM devices.
• Create and execute test scripts with QA for lifecycle, unit and regression tests.
• Collaborate with mobile, backend, hardware and firmware teams on new products.
• Develop and test Linux drivers and security communications protocols.
