Job summary

KLA Milpitas is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++ | Micro Controller) to develop firmware for heterogeneous SoC platforms, including ARM processors and TI DSPs. You will work in Linux/RTOS environments on motion control, image acquisition, and sensor data paths.

You will implement BSPs, drivers, and boot configurations, perform hardware bring-up, and collaborate with Electrical, FPGA, and Systems teams across locations to ensure reliable, scalable embedded software delivering

Qualifications

Proficiency in embedded Linux development including BSP customization, device drivers, kernel debugging, bootloader integration, system bring-up.
Hands-on experience with Yocto Project for BSP integration, package management, and build system customization.
Strong readings of schematics and basic electronics instrumentation.
Experience with ARM-based SoCs and multicore embedded systems.
Experience with PCIe, inter-board communication, and camera interfaces.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded firmware and software in C/C++ for heterogeneous SoC platforms across Linux and RTOS environments.
Design software for precision motion control, machine automation, camera config, and image acquisition.
Develop and maintain BSPs, drivers, bootloaders, and platform software for embedded Linux.
Perform hardware bring-up, system integration, and performance tuning across processors and peripherals.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams globally to support integration and field troubleshooting.
