Heath Consultants, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer to join our Product Engineering team.

You will design, develop, test, and support embedded instrumentation systems used in the natural gas utility industry, working hands-on across electronics, firmware, sensing, and systems engineering. You will collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and product management to take products from concept through prototype, testing, manufacturing, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
4-7 years experience in a research & development, manufacturing, or engineering environment, preferably with portable instruments.
Proficiency with embedded firmware and electrical CAD tools such as Altium.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded and real-time systems using C, C++, Python, and/or MATLAB.
Work with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams across the product lifecycle.
Lead electronics architecture, schematics, PCB layouts, board bring-up, and product release support.
Perform PCB designs and guide layout requirements for DFM and manufacturing.
Evaluate design tradeoffs for cost, performance, reliability, manufacturability, and schedule.
