Job summary

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to develop low-level software for multicore processors on SoCs within a DO-178 environment. You will create BSPs, drivers, and platform software, and integrate with FPGA/ASIC hardware for mission-critical systems.

Remote candidates are considered with onboarding in Endicott, NY and periodic travel. Strong C/C++, RTOS or bare-metal experience and DO-178B/C lifecycle knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, or STEM field.
• 4+ years in embedded firmware in safety-/mission-critical environments.
• Strong C/C++ programming for low-level embedded software.
• Experience with multicore processors/SoCs and BSPs.
• Familiarity with RTOS, DO-178B/C processes, and hardware interfacing.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain low-level embedded software for multicore processors and SoCs.
• Develop board support packages, drivers, and platform software.
• Integrate software with FPGA/ASIC and other hardware components.
• Support hardware bring-up and timing/latency analysis.
• Develop deterministic avionics networking solutions and real-time communication.
