Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to architect, implement, and certify high-assurance cryptographic systems used by the U.S. DoD and allied partners.

You will contribute to cryptographic information assurance architectures and certification artifacts in fielded systems, working on security-critical software and firmware that must meet NSA High Assurance requirements.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
• 5+ years of embedded software development in C and/or Rust.
• Experience with ARM-based processors and low-level embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software primarily in C and Rust for cryptographic and security-critical platforms.
• Architect cryptographic information assurance software and systems, including security boundaries and trusted services.
• Perform trade studies and embedded architecture design with memory-safe approaches; transition from C to Rust.
• Support NSA High Assurance certification through requirements decomposition, architecture, and artifacts.
• Develop and maintain formal documentation (SHRS, IRS, ICDs, SHDD) and testing artifacts.
• Execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing, including hardware-in-the-loop tests.
