ECE, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, energetic, and experienced Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineer to provide concept definition, analysis, and integration of electrical systems for rugged mission and safety-critical systems for Military, Aerospace, and Vehicular environments. By listening to customer challenges and building on your previous experiences, you will find creative approaches to solve complex embedded electronics problems.

Responsibilities

1. Electronics design of aerospace embedded products including microcontrollers, FPGAs, power supplies, protection circuits, output drivers, and sensor signal circuitry
2. Control subsystems such as BLDC motors and actuators
3. Work from customer requirements to determine systems and hardware requirements and design
4. Prepare design documentation, project schedules, and test reports to track progress and performance
5. Design for rugged environments, including extended temperatures, EMC, ESD, and vibration
6. Component selection, derating, and detailed design for high reliability in severe environments
7. Generate test software to validate hardware design and for custom test equipment used in design verification, qualification, and manufacturing
8. Create detailed bills of materials and assist in sourcing electronic components
9. Troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure efficient resolution

Qualifications

1. BS or an advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
2. 15+ years of circuit design experience for embedded aerospace or vehicular systems
3. Excellent problem-solving skills
4. Demonstrated project management and communication skills
5. Proven ability to evaluate and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria independently, using judgment for modifications
6. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to meet organizational and customer needs
7. Excellent attention to detail
8. Ability to create technical proposals and presentations
9. Highly motivated with the capacity to work autonomously
10. Having BLDC motor or FADEC design experience is a plus
