Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an embedded software developer (R&D S&E Computer Science) to deploy high-assurance capabilities for national security. You will join the High Assurance Product Realization team and work on weapon-related systems with a focus on secure and reliable embedded software.

You will collaborate in an Agile environment, design and review software, and learn modern practices while ensuring compliance with information assurance and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience.
• Ability to acquire a DOE Q-level security clearance.
• Experience delivering embedded software and debugging complex systems.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography and security essential systems.
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Proficiency with GitLab/GitLab CI and SVN.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy complex embedded software.
• Author and review software documentation.
• Work independently with little oversight as well as collaboratively on an Agile team.
• Learn about and implement information assurance concepts.
• Partner with hardware, systems, and software engineers.
• Travel up to 5% to support the mission.
