Job summary

Parry Labs in the Detroit metro area is seeking a Senior Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer to advance Zero Trust architecture across avionics platforms and educate teams on modern cyber practices. This on-site role requires DoD-related security expertise and a passion for securing next-gen systems.

You will lead risk assessments, implement security controls, and coordinate RMF-compliant designs while collaborating across engineering and customer teams to strengthen cyber resilience and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of information systems security engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NIST, RMF, ISO security standards.
• Strong understanding of Zero-Trust architectures.
• Experience with Linux/Embedded Linux, VxWorks, Lynx or Windows configurations.
• Experience securing software containers and orchestration stacks.
• DoD 8140.03 compliant certification such as Security+, CISSP or CEH.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on security standards and participate in industry groups.
• Develop and implement Zero Trust adoption across product lines.
• Coordinate Zero Trust with safety requirements and RMF expectations.
• Prototype and implement advanced security controls for avionics platforms.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Plan and implement security controls to mitigate risks.
• Perform security testing and evaluation on unique systems and networks.
• Act as a cyber security technical point of contact for DoD customers.
• Promote a positive cyber security culture across teams.
• Write and validate Zero Trust system specifications.
