Job summary

Talentify in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design and implement Zero Trust and RMF-compliant security for DoD systems, including embedded and edge devices. You will lead risk assessments, develop security controls, and collaborate with DoD customers and prime contractors to ensure compliant, secure architectures for advanced defense applications.

This on-site role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience and active security qualifications, with a focus on DoD

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity or information systems security engineering.
• Experience with Zero Trust and RMF/ATO activities.
• Experience with Linux, Embedded Linux, VxWorks, Lynx or Windows.
• Ability to translate cybersecurity requirements into system and software engineering specs.
• DoD 8140.03 certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CEH.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Zero Trust across product lines.
• Integrate Zero Trust Architecture with RMF 4/5 requirements supporting ATO.
• Develop and prototype security controls for next-generation platforms.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Perform security testing and evaluation on DoD systems.
