Job summary

Brooks Automation in the United States (Austin or Chelmsford) seeks a Senior Embedded Software & Controls Engineer to develop next-generation levitation-based motion control systems with high-performance DC commutation and distributed control for 6DOF platforms.

You will bridge control theory with real-time embedded execution, working with hardware, sensors, and power electronics to deliver robust, low-latency solutions and lead system bring-up and validation in a collaborative, IP-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Controls Engineering.
• Experience in embedded software and controls development is required.
• Real-time embedded programming and multi-axis motion control knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time embedded control software for levitation systems.
• Translate control models into embedded software with sensor fusion.
• Develop distributed control frameworks and low-latency communication.
• Lead system bring-up, tuning, and validation with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with firmware, FPGA, and product development teams.
