Job summary

GM Defense is seeking a Lead Software and Controls Engineer to design, develop and implement embedded control algorithms for both vehicle and non-vehicle applications. You will mentor the team and drive architecture decisions across complex electrical systems.

You will lead calibration efforts, collaborate with systems engineers, and ensure compliance with government specifications while advancing control software maturity in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, CS or CE.
• 5+ years of embedded controls experience.
• Proficient in C programming, MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience with Agile CI/CD workflows and automated builds.
• Familiar with INCA and Vehicle Spy tools; strong data logging knowledge.
