Fresenius Kabi USA is seeking a Senior Engineer, Control Systems, to design and develop embedded control software for the Ivenix infusion pump. The role involves coding, documentation, testing and maintenance of real-time software under moderate supervision, applying standard engineering practices to solve moderately complex problems.

Salary ranges from $98,000 to $105,000, based on experience. Benefits include 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or Physical Science is required.
• 2+ years in software-driven electro-mechanical systems; medical device software a plus.
• 1-2 years with MATLAB and Simulink; related tools are a plus.
• Experience solving complex problems across multiple physical domains; pneumatic/fluids preferred.
• C, C++, Python proficiency; Linux knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work in an iterative team and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, document and test software components for medical devices.
• Plan, document, execute and report software verification testing.
• Support configuration management for multiple field versions.
• Create and refine flow control algorithms using MATLAB/StateFlow/C/C++.
• Develop and tune motion-control logic for system motors and actuators.
• Develop Simulink models and hardware/software test protocols.
• Unit-test models and C/C++ code; apply best practices.
• Contribute data analysis and display tools using Python.
• Participate in integration and test of software and hardware; root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate task execution and monitor progress to schedule.
