Pacer Group in Englewood, CO, is seeking a Senior Embedded C Developer to craft firmware for OpenWrt-based residential gateways with LTE/5G backup. You will work on OpenSync, OVSDB, Linux networking, and modem integration.

Responsibilities include kernel debugging, WiFi driver work, TLS-based cloud connectivity, and OpenWrt UCI flows. This role emphasizes robust firmware engineering and secure networking.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Embedded C on ARM/MIPS platforms.
• Experience with OpenWrt, OpenSync, and OVSDB.
• Proficient Linux networking and kernel debugging.
• Experience with LTE/5G modems and WAN routing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug Embedded C firmware on ARM/MIPS Linux/OpenWrt platforms.
• Build and maintain OpenSync managers using OVSDB for cloud-managed configuration and telemetry.
• Implement LTE/5G failover and modem management.
• Integrate cellular modems via AT, QMI/MBIM, USB, PCIe/MHI.
• Configure WiFi platforms and debug kernel/pci/usb issues.
• Develop TLS-based secure cloud connectivity.
• Handle OpenWrt UCI configuration, persistent storage, firmware upgrades and factory-reset flows.
