Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer (BSP / QNX) to design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain kernel and QNX software for embedded and IFE platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware, platform software, Android, and validation teams to enable QNX-based functionality from bootloader through OS and device drivers, across Agile/DevOps environments.

Qualifications

Strong embedded C/C++ programming skills required.
BSP development experience is essential.
Board bring-up and hardware integration knowledge.
QNX platform development and kernel/driver work.
Experience optimizing system performance and memory usage.
Familiarity with boot processes and system initialization.
Proficient in Python scripting and test automation.
Ability to work in Agile/DevOps environments and perform debugging.

Responsibilities

Develop and test embedded software from specs and design documents.
Design, develop, integrate, debug, and maintain QNX and Linux platform software.
Develop and support Linux kernel and device drivers.
Perform board bring-up and platform enablement.
Optimize system performance, memory usage, stability and reliability.
Work on boot processes and OS bring-up tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/DevOps.
Create and execute test plans and benchmarks.
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and releases.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
Troubleshoot software and hardware integration across platform layers.

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer (BSP / QNX)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced BSP (Kernel / QNX) Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and maintain Kernel and QNX software for next-generation embedded and In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) platforms. The engineer will work closely with hardware, platform software, Android, system integration, and validation teams to enable and support QNX-based platform functionality from bootloader through operating system and device driver layers.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and test high-quality embedded software applications from functional and system specifications.
Design, develop, integrate, debug, and maintain QNX and Linux platform software.
Develop and support Linux kernel and device drivers.
Perform board bring-up, platform enablement, and hardware integration activities.
Optimize system performance, memory utilization, stability, and reliability.
Work on boot processes, startup flows, and operating system bring-up.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/DevOps environments.
Create and execute test plans, functional tests, regression tests, and performance benchmarks.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, design reviews, code reviews, and release activities.
Support CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and continuous integration processes.
Troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues across multiple platform layers.
