Job summary

Shure is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, implement, test, and integrate real time, multitasking software for professional audio products. You will contribute to architecture, work with cross-functional teams, and focus on embedded Linux/RTOS environments in a hybrid role based out of our Niles, IL office.

The role emphasizes C++/C development, hardware driver work, and networking protocols, with strong emphasis on design reviews, testing, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Electrical Engineering; MS a plus
• 5+ years of requisite experience
• Demonstrated skills in C++ and/or C with object oriented design, analysis and programming.
• Experience with networking protocols - Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP and wireless protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for audio products.
• Work on architecture and design for real-time, multitasking software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product architecture and software design.
• Engineer hardware drivers and embedded software components.
• Document tasks and estimate work packages.
• Review designs and code; perform unit and integration testing.
