Job summary

Shure is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer to design, implement, test, and integrate real time software for audio products running on the Linux platform. You will work in the Product Development Division designing, implementing, testing, and integrating software with a focus on Linux and Yocto.

This role is hybrid based out of our Niles, IL office and involves architectural work, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to cutting-edge audio technologies using C++

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Electrical Engineering; MS a plus.
• 5 or more years of requisite experience.
• Specific experience with embedded Linux, HW/SW platforming desired, along with Yocto.
• Demonstrated skills in C++ and/or C with object oriented design, analysis and programming.
• Experience using and designing software with networking protocols - Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP as well as exposure to network security and protocols a plus.
• Understanding of operating system concepts, embedded software development environment and tools for real-time embedded operating systems.
• Experience with embedded system architectures, development environments and debugging.
• Hardware Driver development and hardware debugging exposure a plus
• Experience with software version control and release
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to analyze complex interdependent variables
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Quality consciousness

Overview

Shure is seeking senior engineers with embedded Linux experience to join our embedded software development team.

As a SeniorEmbedded Software Development Engineer,you will work in the Product Development Division designing, implementing, testing, and integrating real time software for Shure's products with a focus on the Linux platform. PAY TRANSPARENCY

Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry's top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $115,600 to $185,000, with a target salary of $x-$x/with a midpoint target. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
