Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an experienced Architect / Technical Lead to shape the technical architecture for an aftermarket In-Cab AI Assistant platform powering heavy equipment.

You will guide end-to-end architecture across embedded compute, display, audio, and machine interfaces, ensuring safety, compliance, and security while delivering reliable, low-latency performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software, systems, or embedded engineering with architecture or technical leadership responsibilities.
• Experience designing and delivering embedded or edge-compute systems.
• Strong background in Linux-based embedded systems and system-level software design.
• Experience with hardware/software integration across compute, display, audio, or related components.
• Experience with machine, vehicle, or industrial interfaces such as CAN/J1939/CDL or similar.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the end-to-end system architecture across embedded compute, display, audio, machine interfaces, assistant services, OTA, logging, and diagnostics.
• Provide technical leadership across discovery, implementation, integration, optimization, and release readiness.
• Translate program objectives and constraints into architecture, design decisions, and technical priorities.
• Ensure the solution remains within defined safety boundaries and adheres to confirmation patterns.
