Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an Advanced AI Systems Engineer / AI Technical Lead to spearhead AI/ML initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and vehicle testing. You will lead development, evaluation, and deployment of AI-driven tools and data pipelines, collaborating with PACCAR divisions and external partners.

The role requires 10+ years in related engineering, advanced AI/ML deployment experience, and strong programming/data skills.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in a related engineering discipline.
Experience deploying AI/ML solutions or advanced data-driven tools.
Strong programming, data analysis, and system integration skills.
Proven ability to lead technical projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
Self-starter with initiative, innovation, and resourcefulness.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of AI/ML solutions for engineering, V&V, and manufacturing support.
Develop AI-enabled tools, methods, and workflows to improve test automation and data analysis.
Integrate AI techniques into lab, HIL, and vehicle testing processes to improve data utilization.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, test cycle time, and quality with AI tooling.
Create proof-of-concept AI solutions and transition into reusable tools for broader use.
Maintain data pipelines, datasets, and models for AI-enabled analysis.
Communicate performance gains and cost impacts of AI solutions to stakeholders.
Document AI-driven improvements and align with program objectives.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI tool adoption in workflows.
Serve as a technical resource for AI applications within PACCAR Engineering teams.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies for applicability to PACCAR activities.
Regularly report findings and tool status to leadership.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes with data-driven methods.
Stay aware of emerging AI tech and apply to improve methodologies.
