Job summary

Jobtailor in United States (New Jersey) seeks an experienced email development lead to translate business requirements into high‑quality HTML/CSS/AEM components. You will work with wireframes and designs to craft customer communications for Verizon's home and mobile services, balancing design and deliverability.

You will mentor junior developers, lead complex HTML projects, and collaborate with PMO and stakeholders to estimate timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline or four+ years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to drive standardization.
• Strong HTML and CSS development experience.
• Experience with AEM 6.5 building blocks (templates, components, dispatcher, workflow).
• Experience building emails.
• Experience with Jira and Digital Asset Management.
• Proficiency in G-Suite (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Forms).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal skills.
• AEM Certification preferred.

• Evaluate complex technical issues and provide actionable guidance, innovative solutions, and process standardization
• Use wireframes, designs, and components to transform business requirements into email or direct mail communications using HTML, CSS, and AEM components
• Develop complex custom HTML projects requiring high-touch stakeholder communication
• Develop and consult on multiple concurrent projects
• Advise marketing teams and stakeholders on capability gaps and recommend solutions
• Thoroughly test work for functional and design requirements
• Work with QA resources to troubleshoot and resolve defects
• Collaborate with PMO and Team Operations to provide estimates, establish timelines, and communicate statuses
• Consult on process and technology innovations that enhance capabilities or productivity within the AEM ecosystem
• Mentor junior developers on email development best practices
• Build customer-facing marketing communications for Verizon's home and mobile businesses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
• Six or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
• Strong technical leadership skills and ability to evaluate intricate problems, provide guidance, and drive standardization
• Strong development experience using current HTML and CSS
• Experience with AEM 6.5 building blocks, including templates, components, dispatcher, and workflow
• Experience building emails
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira
• Experience working with a Digital Asset Management system
• Proficiency in G-Suite, including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Forms
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline preferred
• AEM Certification preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with content management systems or software
• Experience with the Adobe suite of communications products
