Qualifications

• +5 years in a senior hands-on technical role.
• Experience with analog and digital components: TTL/LSI/CMOS on PCBs.
• Experience with C, C++, LabVIEW.

• Experience with basic board layout tools.
• Experience with systems integration and debug at the systems level.

Responsibilities

• Develop Automated Test Systems for various legacy embedded electronic boards using state of the art hardware and software.
• Debug test software and test systems that are handed over to manufacturing.
• Adapt test programs or help the team resolve customer issues where the current test software does not catch the customers’ failure.
• Develop test solutions by building test adapters, knowing what adaptions need to be made to test specific hardware.
• Integration and debug at the systems level; transfer to engineering when IP is not complete.
• Develop and implement JTAG/boundary scan test solutions.
• Rebuild and validate production and repair test capability from incomplete OEM documentation.
• Ensure test systems are robust for manufacturing handoff and long-term sustainment.

Senior Electronics Test Engineer $140k-$165k base plus bonus San Fransisco Bay Area

Overview

The Senior Electronic Test Engineer will be working on projects of varying complexity. Projects will vary between developing test solutions, developing engineering solutions, and debugging complex hardware relative to electronic embedded computing. Some larger projects may include migration of products from an OEM into our manufacturing system.

Responsibilities

• Develop Automated Test Systems for various legacy embedded electronic boards using state of the art hardware and software.
• Debug test software and test systems that are handed over to manufacturing.
• Adapt test programs or help the team resolve customer issues where the current test software does not catch the customers’ failure.
• Develop test solutions by building test adapters, knowing what adaptions need to be made to test specific hardware.
• Integration and debug at the systems level. This is in reference to products that are transferred to our engineering team, and when IP is not complete.
• Develop and implement JTAG / boundary scan test solutions.
• Rebuild and validate production and repair test capability from incomplete OEM documentation.
• Ensure test systems are robust for manufacturing handoff and long-term sustainment.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

• Deliver Engineering Projects on-schedule and on-budget Also includes hand-offs for follow on production.
• Provide Engineering Support for sales and business development, including LPs, new product acquisitions, constrained parts investigation, and other such activities.

Requirements

• Must have a technical degree and must have demonstrated +5 years performing in a senior hands-on technical role.
• Experienced with electronic analog & digital components: TTL/LS/etc., CMOS, LSI and Programmable logic. Specifically, their use on printed circuit assemblies.
• Experienced with programming languages: C, C++, LabVIEW
• Experienced with Operating Systems such as DOS, Windows, Solaris, Linux, & VxWorks.
• Experienced with basic Board Layout Tools.
• Experienced with systems integration and debug at the systems level.
