Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a highly motivated Electronics Technologist to join our team. Your hands-on electronics assembly and bench testing will support testing and problem solving across a range of components.

On any given day you may partner with engineers and technologists to develop and execute testing, assemble and rework PCBs, troubleshoot problems, and integrate hardware with software. The role requires onsite work; a DOE Q security clearance is required, with interview

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 5+ years of directly relevant experience.
• IPC Class-3 soldering skill and inspection competence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
• Associate's degree in engineering/electrical field.
• Experience in testing electrical/electronic hardware in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers to develop and execute testing of various commercial electronics.
• Assist on multiple parts being tested.
• Assemble and rework printed circuit boards.
• Troubleshoot testing problems.
• Integrate hardware and software.
