Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will install, maintain, and commission electronic security systems including IDS, access control, and CCTV for federal, local, and commercial customers.

You will lead projects, document progress, and mentor junior staff at our Tysons, VA site. The role requires 8+ years in electronics installation/maintenance, 3 years in electronic security, strong communication, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electronics installation/maintenance on multiple systems
• 3 years of the above experience focused in electronic security systems
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
• MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are a plus
• Must be able to travel 50%

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electronic security systems
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Lead large installation projects with limited supervision
• Lead toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits
• Install and maintain equipment locally and globally per design packages
• Program and install head end equipment for IDS, ACS and CCTV
• Troubleshoot and isolate systems and/or hardware
• Lead on-site software commissioning and testing
• Document RFIs and project progress
• Design assist and provide feedback
• Manage project schedule and labor hours
• Mentor technicians
