Job summary

M.C. Dean in the Security and Electronic Systems unit seeks an Electronics Technician 4 to install, maintain and test advanced electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control and CCTV, on federal, local and commercial sites.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, electronics training, 8+ years in installation/maintenance, travel up to 50%, and strong communication skills. You will lead onsite teams, conduct safety audits, document progress, and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license
• This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle
• 3 years of electronics installation/maintenance experience in electronic security systems
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage time to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead large complex installation projects with limited supervision
• Lead daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits
• Install and maintain equipment at local and global levels per design packages
• Program and install head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems
• Troubleshoot and isolate system/hardware issues on local and global levels
• Lead on-site software commissioning and testing
• Document and track RFIs; create and update project drawings
• Provide design feedback and create daily progress reports
