Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will design, install, operate, and maintain electronic security solutions for federal, local, and commercial customers, across intrusions, access control, video, IT systems, and more. The role requires 6+ years of electronics installation/maintenance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an Electronics Technician program is required.
• Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program is required.
• 6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams and project coordination.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Executes technical tasks in field operations, including on-site installations and maintenance.
• Performs troubleshooting, testing, and repair of equipment and systems.
• Conducts site surveys, configures hardware/software, and provides customer support.
• Participates in safety programs, quality reviews, and documentation.
• Leads commissioning efforts and communicates with project teams and customers.
• Maintains tools, orders materials, and tracks project metrics.
