Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to support operations at Fort Hood, TX. You will diagnose, repair, and install diverse electronic systems, read complex blueprints, test with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers, and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Component-level repair (soldering and testing).
• Clear record keeping and test logs.
• General experience as an electronics technician.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Must be able to receive a favorable TIER 1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify and install electronic equipment and related devices such as radar, radio, telecommunications, sonar, and navigational aids; personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial equipment, and robotic devices.
• Apply knowledge of electronics to determine malfunctions, restore operation, evaluate performance and reliability, and recommend changes.
• Read complex blueprints and align analog or digital circuits using advanced test gear like spectrum analyzers.
• Train lower-level workers and perform tasks under supervision as required.
