Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) seeks an Electronics Technician Maintenance III at Fort Hood, TX. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install complex electronic systems, including radar and telecom equipment, reading blueprints and using advanced test gear to ensure peak performance.

The role requires 3–7 years in electrical/electronics fields, CAC eligibility, and the ability to pass background and drug checks. Benefits are competitive and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• Component-level repair (soldering and testing).
• Clear record keeping and test logs.
• General experience as an electronics technician.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Must be able to receive a favorable TIER 1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various electronic equipment and related devices.
• Read complex blueprints, test and align analog or digital circuits, use test gear such as spectrum analyzers.
• Train lower-level workers and supervise under guidance as needed.
• Operate oscilloscopes and signal generators to repair circuit boards, radar or communication systems.
