Job summary

Gentherm, a global leader in thermal management and pneumatic comfort technologies, is seeking a Category Manager, Electronics to partner with Category Directors to drive purchasing and strategic sourcing across semiconductor components. This role balances cost, quality, supply continuity and innovation while aligning with broader business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Industrial Engineering preferred).
10+ years of purchasing experience in electronics, automotive preferred.
Deep knowledge of electronics procurement, supplier management, and supply chain optimization.

Responsibilities

Lead procurement for electronics semiconductor materials and drive early SQD involvement in new supplier evaluations.
Manage supplier selection and development, including qualifying second sources for resilience.
Maintain master data and workflows across systems to ensure data integrity.
Develop category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Monitor supplier capacities and address disruptions to maintain production schedules.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and VAVE ideas with stakeholders.
