Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Engineer Electronics - Hardware Integration to join a multidisciplinary team in San Diego, CA or Melbourne, FL. The role develops HW subsystems, architectures, analyzes performance and verifies requirements.

You will design, develop, build, and test electrical components and networks, collaborating with suppliers and cross-disciplinary teams. The position requires RF knowledge, airborne hardware experience, and an active Top Secret/SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of related experience
• Master’s degree in STEM with 10+ years of related experience
• PhD in STEM with 8+ years of related experience
• Active Top Secret SCI security clearance and SAP access may be required

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into hardware specifications for RF/electronic subsystems
• Collaborate with hardware, software and firmware teams to integrate avionics and mission subsystems
• Document designs using schematics, diagrams, and specifications
• Develop supplier documentation, statements of work and review supplier artifacts
• Support development and integration of HW subsystems and components
• Perform functional and performance analyses and detailed trade studies
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot avionics and mission systems
