DZYNE Technologies in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to own and contribute across the full lifecycle of aircraft and launcher electrical systems. You will perform circuit design, system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, avionics testing, and data analysis while reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager.

The role requires 7+ years in electronics, strong PCBA and signal integrity skills, and experience with analog/digital/RF components.

Position Title: Senior Electronics Engineer Location: Irvine, CA Work Arrangement: On-site

Position Summary

DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Senior Electronics Engineer who will serve as a technical owner and hands‑on contributor across the full lifecycle of DZYNE’s aircraft and launcher electrical systems. In this role, the engineer will perform circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, avionics/electronic system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.

Required Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead full PCB design cycle involving requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring‑up, functional verification, and performance tests
• Design, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems/subsystems
• Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle
• Support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements
• Conduct peer‑level and cross‑discipline design reviews
• Work closely with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast‑paced environment
• Mentor other engineers and promote sound engineering practices

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated capability in complex circuit board design, bring‑up, signal/power integrity analysis, and validation
• Proven experience in designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, system level integration and troubleshooting
• In‑depth understanding of Analog/Mixed‑signal, Digital, or RF circuit components
• Detailed working knowledge of common test equipment, and CAD tools such as Alti
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Experience in designing electronics for robotic and/or aircraft systems
• Hands‑on experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, high speed communication, and firmware/software integration
• UAV experience highly desirable
• Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast‑paced R&D environment
• Familiarity with MIL‑spec hardware and harnessing

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Clearance Level Required: None Travel Required:None. Probable travel once per quarter.

Physical Demands

• Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.

Salary

$149,000 - $175,000 annually Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high‑demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
