We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to support the development of our first product and oversee all electronics activities within the company.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will serve as the technical lead for all internal electronics development, contributing to R&D activities to bring impactful diagnostic products to market globally. They will collaborate with various teams to lead and support electronics design and development.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead development of electronics subsystems and their integration into products, including:
• Concepting, prototyping, and testing for proof of concept
• Developing electrical sensing platforms for biosensor development
• Data analysis to improve product performance
• Making technical decisions for electronics subsystems
• Manage product development documentation within our Quality Management System, including:
• Requirements and specifications management
• Design file generation for manufacturing
• Development of risk management documents and mitigation plans
• Implementation of testing for verification and validation
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design partners to ensure manufacturability and translate product requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and technical reviews as the Electronics SME.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff as applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships with suppliers in partnership with Quality and Supply Chain teams.
• Contribute to product development roadmap and technology portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics Engineering with 7+ years of industry experience, or PhD with 5+ years.
• Strong skills in electronics product development, including PCB design (e.g., Altium), manufacturing techniques, and development of disposable PCBAs and sensing platforms.
• Experience with embedded software development (e.g., C).
• Familiarity with medical device or diagnostics sectors and ISO standards.
• Experience with design control, risk management, and V&V for regulated products.
• Proficiency in data processing and visualization tools (Python, MATLAB, R).
• Background in signal processing and algorithm development for diagnostics.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• SolidWorks 3D CAD experience.
• Experience with electrochemical and electrical biosensors.
• Design for high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Database management skills (e.g., MongoDB).
