Job summary

Perceptive Recruiting seeks an Electronics Engineer III in Kennesaw, GA, on-site. The role requires taking ownership of both hardware and firmware from schematic to production, including PCB layout in Altium and embedded firmware development.

The candidate will design, prototype, and debug using lab equipment, and participate in the modernization of existing hardware for major industry names. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded electronics design (hardware and firmware)
• Proficiency in Altium Designer (schematic capture and PCB layout)
• Strong embedded C skills
• Hands-on lab experience and hardware debugging

Responsibilities

• Design schematics and PCB layouts in Altium Designer from concept through production
• Write and debug embedded C firmware on ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC, and similar MCU platforms
• Hands-on lab work with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, board bring-up, and debugging
• Communicate over UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, RS-232/485 and similar protocols
• Support both new product development and legacy hardware modernization

Job description

We're looking for an Electronics Engineer III who's equally comfortable in Altium laying out a multilayer PCB as they are writing embedded C firmware on an STM32 or PIC - someone who actually wants to own both sides of the design. This is an on-site role in Kennesaw, GA. Relocation assistance is available.

This role sits at the intersection of new product development and modernizing hardware that's been deployed across some of the most recognized names in the industry. You'll have real ownership over your work, from schematic to firmware to production.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing schematics and PCB layouts in Altium Designer from concept through production
• Writing and debugging embedded C firmware on ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC, and similar MCU platforms
• Working hands-on in the lab - oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, board bring-up, debug
