Job summary

Messer Americas is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams in executing electronics capital projects safely, on time, and within budget. The role includes new plant projects, upgrades, and retrofits, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and support principal project managers on large initiatives.

Responsibilities cover proposal development, schedules, budgets, vendor qualification, PDES execution, and regulatory interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline.
• 5 years of capital project implementation experience in electronics/semiconductor context.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (100 nights/year).

Responsibilities

• Oversee proposal development and project execution for major electronics capital projects.
• Manage activities throughout project cycle; typically up to $10,000,000 in CAPEX; 2–3 projects at once.
• Coordinate engineering, develop schedules and budgets, oversee construction and commissioning.
• Qualify vendors and negotiate pricing with Procurement.
• Implement the PDES to ensure scope, schedule, and budget confidence.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation at closeout.
