Job summary

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the J-Tech II program.

The Electronic Technician III role focuses on ground-based electronic systems, including installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing. You will work under general technical guidance, diagnose malfunctions, service transmitter/receiver equipment, perform soldering, and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited college; or technical schooling with courses in math, electronics, and microwave theory; or a military equivalent and seven years of hands-on experience.
• ISCET certification or equivalent recognized credential.
• Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics and test equipment used to maintain/repair equipment.
• Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power RF devices.
• Expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electronic transmitting/receiving equipment, digital/analog computers, measurement and control equipment, microwave components, high-voltage power supplies, and antenna systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair to restore operation using diagrams, schematics, data and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot to component level and perform repairs as needed.
• Assist and/or direct lower-level technicians as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
