Job summary

Insight Global is hiring an electronic repair engineer to repair, upgrade, modify, or verify subcomponents of a wide variety of complex automatic/logic controlled electronic or electro-mechanical equipment at a component level. You will use advanced diagnostic techniques and calibrations traceable to standards.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 3–4 years of electro-mechanical experience and proficiency in soldering, LabVIEW, Python, and CAD tools, with the ability to work

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering plus three to four years of directly related electro-mechanical experience.
• Able to troubleshoot to the component level using datasheets and related terminology.
• Soldering/desoldering of Surface Mount and high-density components.

Responsibilities

• Repair, upgrade, modify, or verify subcomponents of complex electronic or electro-mechanical equipment at the component level.
• Use advanced diagnostic techniques and calibrations traceable to standards.
• Work independently on assigned projects under high-pressure conditions.
• Interpret electrical datasheets and related terminology to guide repair and verification.
• Set up, operate, and adjust complex instrumentation for testing and calibration.
