Job summary

Humble Independent School District is seeking a Lead Electronic Lock Technician to manage high-level locksmith work on manual and automated locking systems and access control networks. The ideal candidate has journeyman-level locksmith experience, certifications (Genetec STC/OTC) or ability to obtain them within a year, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree related to trade preferred.
• Requires locksmith certification or ability to obtain within first year.
• Requires Genetec STC and OTC certification or ability to obtain within first year.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must clear criminal background check and drug test.
• May be required to complete job ability testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee locksmith tasks for manual and automated locks and access control systems.
• Install new equipment or replacement parts per specifications and safety guidelines.
• Supervise team, schedule work, enforce timelines and safety practices.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and written references.
• Communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
