The University of Houston is seeking a locksmith technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair electronic locking systems and automatic doors in the Central Facility Services department.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of direct locksmith experience, and a valid Texas driver's license. This security-sensitive position will be subject to criminal history checks and education verification.

Pursuant to the State of TexasExecutive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, orhas access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability tomaintain the security or integrity of the Universityinfrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinelyreviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuousconnections for the government or political apparatus of a foreignadversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintainthe security or integrity of the infrastructure.
Department is willing to accept education in lieu ofexperience.
High School Diploma or GED Required
MQ: Education: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling,punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages,ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of ahigh school diploma or GED. Education verification will beconducted upon acceptance of an employment offer.
Experience: Requires a minimum of six (6) months of directlyjob-related experience.
Certification/Licensing: Requires a valid Texas Driver'sLicense.
