John Deere in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to create and validate schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware for robotics and mobility systems.

You will analyze topologies, select components, ensure EMI/EMC, and collaborate with mechanical, embedded software, and systems teams, while supporting design reviews and cost‑reduction initiatives. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of hands‑on digital electronics are required.

Competenze

• 3+ years in digital electronic technology: circuit design, analysis, test & evaluation.
• Deep and broad understanding of high-speed digital electronics and embedded hardware design.
• Experience comparing microprocessor architectures, designing with memory and I/O interfaces, high-speed layout and EMI mitigation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Mansioni

• Create and validate schematics and PCB layouts for controllers, sensors, and perception modules used in robotics and mobility systems.
• Perform electronic design analysis to determine circuit topology, component selection, and performance in harsh environments.
• Ensure designs comply with John Deere standards for reliability, EMI/EMC, and environmental robustness.
• Collaborate with mechanical design, embedded software, and systems engineering teams to integrate electronics into complete products.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate on testing and manufacturability activities.
• Develop and execute test plans for prototype and production‑intent hardware.
• Troubleshoot signal integrity, thermal, and power distribution issues during development and integration.
• Document designs for production release.
• Participate in cost reduction and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
• Support lifecycle management activities such as obsolescence planning and end-of-life transitions.
• Support integration of new technologies into autonomous products.
• Participate in innovation and advanced robotics/mobility projects.
