Job summary

Landrum Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Electronic Assembler in Fort Walton Beach, FL to perform basic and routine electronic and mechanical assembly on boards and subassemblies. You will follow visual and written instructions, align parts, route wires, and solder connections in a production setting.

The role requires extensive hand soldering experience (8+ years preferred, open to 3+ with strong skills), IPC 610A certification, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 8+ years soldering experience (open to 3+ with strong hand skills).
• Through hole and/or surface mount hand soldering experience.
• IPC 610A certified.
• Experience wiring harnesses, cable testing, and complex rework.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and identifications.
• Strong finger dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Must complete IPC Solder Training within 3 weeks with 5% or less defect rate.
• Physical/Work Environment: stand/sit long hours; lift up to 30 pounds; 20/20 vision and color vision.

Senior Electronic Assembler

This position is located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. With supervision, the right candidate would perform basic and routine electronic and mechanical assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, and subassemblies in accordance with established standards using visual aids and verbal and/or written instructions.

Job Responsibilities

• Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other and use hand or power tools to secure parts.
• Mount assembled components on panels or circuit boards.
• Route wiring and cabling through assemblies to terminals according to color codes; solder or wrap wire around terminals to provide electrical connection.
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding, wiring, stamping, and color coding parts and assemblies.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
• Maintain reliable attendance and remain at the assigned worksite during assigned hours.
• Clean parts using cleaning solutions and/or air hoses.
• Mark and tag components to support accurate stock identification and inventory tracking.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have through hole and/or surface mount hand soldering experience
• IPC 610A certified
• Experience wiring harnesses, cable testing, and complex rework
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and component identifications.
• Ability to work with minute parts; strong finger dexterity and fine motor skills (forming/bending wires to specification).
• Ability to use stripping tools, wire cutters, soldering equipment, degreasers, and other tools of the trade.
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors and adhere to workplace rules.
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
• Successful completion of IPC Solder Training and Certification within the initial 3 weeks of employment, with a 5% or less defect rate on the solder certification board.
• Physical/Work Environment: production environment; ability to stand and sit for long periods; ability to perform repetitive motion; ability to lift up to 30 pounds; 20/20 vision and color vision (with or without corrective lenses).

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate:$24/hr+ DOE
• Schedule:7AM-5PM, 9/80 schedule
